Inspiring room schemes for your next interior design project

13.02.25

As we dive into February, I’m sure many of you are already thinking about the interior projects you want to tackle this year. It’s the perfect moment to approach this and refresh your space—whether that’s a full room redecoration or just adding a few new touches. This time of year always feels so inspiring, so to help get the creative ideas flowing, I’ve rounded up a few of my favourite room schemes featuring fabrics and wallpapers from the CINNY collection all designed to work together that I think you’ll love.

Bright and bold: A green, pink and blue room scheme

If you love vibrant colours, this scheme could be just what you’re looking for. The bold, leafy Raine in Pickled Green pairs perfectly with the soft blush and blue tones of our fabrics and wallpapers Coco, Ella, and Vivien. The mix of soft shades and striking prints creates a lively yet grounded vibe.

One of my signature styles shines through here: pairing a bold floral print with stripes. This time, I’ve used our popular Marni stripe. I love how the floral wallpaper sings with this striped fabric, keeping the scheme fresh and modern, and great way to mix pattern.

For smaller spaces, you can easily add the stripe on a cushion and play with two or three smaller printed fabrics. There are so many ways to combine these patterns and they are all designed to work harmoniously, giving you the freedom to create your space as exactly as you want it.

Warm, cosy and autumnal: A honey, brown and blue room scheme

If you love warm, earthy tones, this honey, brown, and blue palette is perfect for creating a cosy and inviting space. The rich, golden Lorcan Reverse wallpaper in Honey takes the spotlight, with its detailed leafy stripe adding elegance and depth. When paired with the classic stripes of Marni in complementary blues and browns, this scheme strikes the perfect balance between cosy and vibrant.

To add a touch of delicacy, we’ve included the Betsy fabric with its charming scalloped print, which beautifully complements the bold wallpaper.

We’ve also chosen some of our favourite paint colours from Little Greene Paint Company to enhance this autumn-inspired look. Whether you’re decorating a living room or a cosy reading nook, these warm tones will wrap your space in comfort.

On-trend: A brown and violet room scheme

Inspired by the Colour of the Year, Mocha Mousse, this brown and violet palette adds warmth and subtle sophistication to any space. The soft earthy tones of our James Grasscloth create a grounded tactile backdrop, while the delicate violet accents in fabrics like Lorcan, Coco, and Ella bring a modern twist.

The earthy base offers a calming foundation, and the lilac hues introduce just the right amount of prettiness. Whether you’re updating a bedroom or study downstairs, this scheme is a great way to embrace the latest trend while keeping it timeless.

Vibrant and playful: An orange and blue room scheme

This orange and blue palette strikes the perfect balance of warmth and coolness. The bold Marni print, with its vibrant orange, yellow, and blue stripes, creates an eye-catching focal point, while the Jessica print in Tea in Tangier is a delicate and pretty addition to the scheme.

We adore mix and matching with Samuel and Sons bullion in co-ordinating blues, along with warm neutral paints from Little Greene Paint Company, to ground and tie the whole scheme together. This lively palette is perfect for creating a joyful yet sophisticated space and one you’ll love for years. I’m mad about orange and blue!

I hope these room schemes have sparked some inspiration for your own projects this year. Whether you’re drawn to subtle, timeless palettes or more vibrant, playful combinations, there are endless ways to refresh your space and make it feel brand new. Happy decorating, and do reach out if you need some help!
