✨ A little bit of magic…

We’re thrilled to see our new weaves Alexander and Mignonne featured in The World of Interiors’ enchanting new story, Aschenputtel - the German version of Cinderella.

In collaboration with the brilliant craftsmen, technicians and puppeteers of Little Angel Theatre, the fairytale unfolds through marionettes, beautiful sets and, of course, an abundance of extraordinary fabrics.

With verse by Poet Laureate Simon Armitage and the strings pulled by Ruth Sleightholme, the result is a wonderfully imaginative celebration of theatre, craftsmanship and textiles.

We couldn’t be more delighted to see Alexander and Mignonne woven into this special world. It feels like the perfect way to introduce them - whimsical, creative, theatrical and full of charm.

A huge thank you to The World of Interiors for bringing our fabrics into this beautiful story, and as always @adamcrudgington for making it happen. We’re incredibly proud to be part of it. ✨

Oh, this has made us so very happy ❤️

There is something really special about seeing a new fabric out in the world for the first time - and even more so when it has been used with such imagination and joy.

We’re absolutely thrilled to see our new woven fabric, Alexander, lining this wonderfully whimsical den in @homesandgardensofficial styled by @remymish

We love the way Remy has embraced colour, pattern and playfulness, and used our fabric in a way we hadn’t even imagined ourselves. It feels like such a joyful celebration of what fabric can do and we couldn’t be more grateful to see our design become part of such a characterful space.

A huge thank you to the Homes & Gardens team and to Remy for bringing it to life so beautifully. It really is a joy to see. ✨

SEPTEMBER RESET 🤎

Back at the showroom after the summer holidays, and it feels rather wonderful to be here again.

There is something about this space that makes me exhale.

After the noise and whirl of summer, stepping back into the showroom feels like entering another world - quiet, calm and cocooned in colour, pattern and texture.

It’s a place that seems to slow everything down.

The soft light, the rolls of wallpaper, piles of fabric, books and samples scattered around… A space to pause.

And gradually, almost without noticing, my mind begins to settle.

The summer memories are still there, the camera roll is overflowing and there are a hundred half-formed ideas jostling for attention. But here, there is space for them to breathe.

Space to think.
Space to imagine.
Space to create.

September always brings that lovely feeling of coming back to yourself. Of looking at what we’ve achieved so far, remembering the projects and ideas that have taken shape, and feeling excited about where we might go next.

Returning with fresh eyes, a little more inspiration and a head full of new possibilities.

So here’s to slow mornings at the showroom, beautiful things to get lost in, and settling gently back into creativity.

I’ve missed it.

Meet Mignonne 🤍

A delicate petite croix weave, designed to bring softness, texture and a little character to a room. Woven in the UK from cotton, wool and silk, Mignonne is one of those fabrics that feels quietly at home wherever it lands.

These photographs were taken in my youngest daughter’s bedroom (one of my favourite rooms in our home). It’s a room that has evolved with her, filled with things she loves and the little details that make it feel completely hers.

Mignonne is available in 3 colourways - Glacier, Cornflower and Wild Rose. Samples now available.

Our very first collection of woven fabrics is now available 💛

Four new designs - Malise, Alexander, Mignonne & Batak Jack - each in a range of colourways and all made in the UK.

This collection has been a very personal one to develop. I’ve lived with every design at home along the way, watching the colours change with the light and seeing how each fabric settles into a room. It’s been lovely to see them slowly become part of everyday life, and I’m so happy to finally share them with you.

Samples are available, and bespoke colourways can be made to order 🎨

Some of our favourite moments in the showroom are the quiet ones. When the afternoon light streams through the windows, there’s time to sit with a coffee, flick through fabric books, and just enjoy being surrounded by beautiful things.

It’s exactly how we hope our clients feel when they visit. No rush, no pressure, just time to explore the collections, gather inspiration and talk through ideas at your own pace.

If you’re planning a project, we’d love to welcome you to our showroom at Elkstone Studios. Visits are by appointment, so you’ll have the space and time to immerse yourself in the fabrics, wallpapers and the creative process.

One piece of advice we always give? Never choose fabric or wallpaper from a screen alone ☝🏼

Light changes everything. A colour that feels soft and warm in the morning might appear completely different by the afternoon, and the texture and scale of a design are things that can’t be appreciated through a photograph.

We always encourage clients to live with their samples for a few days. Pin wallpaper to the wall, drape fabric over a chair, move it from room to room and see how it looks as the light changes throughout the day. It’s often the little details you notice over time that help you make the right decision ✨
